I happen to know that these are extraordinary, surprisingly elegant, surpassingly delicious confections. Miss Katie has spent a great deal of time and effort perfecting her process and presentation. I wouldn't be surprised if it's patented. It should be. The difficulty is that because they are so gorgeous it is kind of a shame to cut them up and eat them; But, come on, take a picture and get over it. Moreover, they are the size of your head (if you are a newborn baby, or if you have a very small head). $6 is a bargain. You could pay $6 for a burger at Carl's Jr. and it will look nothing like the picture and may make you ill. If you spend it instead on one of these beauties (or a dozen), it will look just like the picture (except bigger and three dimensional) and will keep the doctor away for a week. Anyway, I'm a fan. ReplyDeleteMy family and I just died with every bite, saying things like "Man, she really nailed these!" and "These apples are so crisp!" and "How come we didn't get more?" Seriously, they are perfect, and the toffee ones are just to die for. So much talent, Katie!
